Your Tasks

Design of process diagrams (PFDs, P&IDs), process equipment specifications, material specifications, instrumentation
Engineering calculations for the sizing of chemical plants (mass & energy balances)
Design of facilities in close coordination with piping designers
Preparation and presentation of technical reports
Project management
Visits to customers to capture project requirements
Support to the preparation of proposals of engineering services
Management of a team of junior process engineers
Leadership of the functional area for chemical process, combining technical work with team and project management
Growth and dissemination of specialist knowledge
Coordination with technical knowledge experts of the Chemgineering Group

Your Profile

Chemical engineer or industrial chemical engineer
Minimum 10 years of experience as a process engineer in the pharmaceutical or fine chemicals sector, in batch processes
Ability to combine technical work with team and project management
Knowledge of GMPs and experience in pharmaceutical environments will be a plus
Knowledge of calculation software (thermal calculations, stress analysis, heat exchanger sizing, etc.)
Proficiency in Windows Office package
Language: native or superior level in Spanish, medium/high level of English (fluent communication, both spoken and written). Knowledge of German is a plus
Availability to travel (short trips, 2 days a week approx.). Having your own vehicle will be an advantage
Ability to integrate into engineering project teams, working autonomously and in a structured manner
The selected candidate must be located in Barcelona, to join the team in the Chemgineering Group office in Barcelona city
